Teacher’s Name: Karen Snapp
Grade: 3rd & 4th
I began teaching in the Archdiocese of Louisville 1985. I have been teaching at St. James School since 2005. Prior to St. James, I taught 1st/2nd grades at Our Lady of Lourdes School, 4th grade at St. Barnabas School and was the Resource Teacher at Holy Spirit School for six years. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary School Education K-5 and my Master’s Degree in Elementary School Counseling K-8. Both degrees were obtained from Spalding University. I believe in demonstrating differentiation with my students to allow them to feel successful. I want to help motivate students to perform at and above their ability. My lesson plans demonstrate inclusion for students’ success based on the child’s own knowledge, skills, and talents in relation to what we are studying. My overall experience with the Archdiocese of Louisville is based on my many years of learning from many reputable individuals who have mentored me.
