INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCEDURES

The decision to close schools due to weather conditions will be announced via radio and TV for the Catholic schools of Jefferson County. Catholic schools outside Jefferson County will follow the local public school announcements or their own announced procedure. One of the following announcements will be made:

1. All Catholic elementary and high schools in Jefferson County are OPEN; St. James is open.
2. Catholic elementary and high schools in Jefferson County will be OPEN BUT ON A DELAYED SCHEDULE; St. James (K - 8) will start school at 9:00 a.m.; preschool and pre-kindergarten classes will open at regular times: 8:30 a.m. prekindergarten and 9:00 a.m. for preschool. If your child attends the before school care program, please call school (454-0330, ext. 26 or 11) to make sure staff have made it in.
3. All Catholic elementary and high schools in Jefferson County are CLOSED. St. James School, preschool and pre-kindergarten will be closed. After School Care will be open if staff are able to make it in. Please call school (454-0330, ext. 11) to make sure staff are available.

EARLY DISMISSAL-ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS No public announcements will be made about early dismissal in Jefferson County Catholic elementary schools except in the case of extreme emergency. Unless an emergency arises, St. James will dismiss at regular times.
