ST. JAMES SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING
October 18, 2011

Budget was reviewed with a discussion of students who have come and one during the current year and the effect on our current budget.
Michele Durrett resigned as an aide and there was discussion about a possible replacement.
After School Care was discussed specifically about what it does for the schol.

PTO report was reviewed. How will the funds be spent? Can it be used for the hiring an aide? Playgroung renovation was discussed. It is still a long term project but is definitely on the list. Fundraisers were discussed to gather more funds for the playground.

Standard 2 of the accreditation was reviewed including job descriptions and extracurricular responsibilities for staff members. Strategies for involving the 7th and 8th graders in the school were discussed. Marketing the school should be a priority.

The progress of the new grading system was discussed. What is the best time to introduce it to the staff and parents? Who should have access to it?

Meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
