St. James School students in grade 2 through grade 8 are given opportunities to play in sports like soccer, basketball, volleyball and even some take part in football at the Jr. High Grades. Parents and parishioners volunteer to be coaches for these activities.

There are special clubs like student government, the green club, broom club, lector group, nursing home club, office assistants and even the computer assistant group. Various members of the staff may meet with these youngsters several times during the school year, before or after school hours, and have the students gain skills in a diversified area.
