At St. James School, a Catholic elementary school,
students in grades K-8 are offered learning experiences to help
them gain academic, social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and
physical growth through planned learning activities. These experiences
are based on the continually assessed developmental level of each
student. The curriculum includes opportunities to worship with the
parishioners of St. James Catholic Church on a weekly basis; language
development and math skills commensurate with the student's real
life experiences and the Archdiocesan outcomes. Specialists in Spanish,
Art, Music, Physical Education activities, field trips, extracurricular
activities like Govenor's Cup Competitions and sports-related opportunities,
as well as counseling (for family building opportunities) availability
round out the learning needs of students in grades K-8. A three-
and four-year-old program is also offered at St. James School, and
specifics regarding it are available. A tutorial program is available
for students in grades K-8. Please call St. James School at (502)
454-0330, for information.
